Big news from Estes Park: The iconic Stanley Hotel has been sold for $400 million to a public-private partnership called the Stanley Partnership for Art Culture and Education (SPACE). This historic deal will fund major expansions, including a 65,000-square-foot event center and a horror film museum curated by Blumhouse Productions. The hotel is also set to host parts of the Sundance Film Festival starting in 2027.

Former owner John Cullen, who has overseen the property for nearly 30 years, will continue as chair and CEO of SPACE. The expansion plans aim to preserve the hotel’s legacy while transforming it into a year-round cultural destination.

Built in 1909, the Stanley Hotel is renowned for its stunning architecture and as the inspiration for Stephen King’s “The Shining.” With these new developments, it’s poised to become an even more significant landmark in Colorado’s cultural landscape. 🏨

🦆 Quacktacular Fun at the 2025 Estes Park Duck Race! 🎉
Representing @estesparkconcierge , we had an absolute blast at this year’s Duck Race Festival! From the high-flying duck drop into the Big Thompson River to the vibrant festivities along the Riverwalk, the event was a delightful celebration of community spirit and fun.
Highlights included:
• The Duck Drop: Thousands of rubber ducks made a splash for a great cause.
• Live Entertainment: Music, performances, and activities for all ages kept the energy high.
• Creative Duck Duck Jeep Showcase: Jeep enthusiasts showcased their decorated vehicles in a display of creativity and camaraderie.
A big shoutout to the Estes Park Rotary Club for organizing this incredible event that brings our community together and supports local charities.

Turns out we have a budding wildlife editor in the house! 🎬🦌 Yesterday, my 10-year-old asked to borrow my phone to make a CapCut video… handed it back in under two minutes, and THIS was saved to my camera roll! Who knew he even knew how to use CapCut? 😳
